New year. New blogs!

I went this past Monday to a Social Media seminar at UNR. It was a panel discussion about Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, etc.

During the question & answer time I asked "Ok. I have a Facebook Fanpage, I send out a bi-weekly email, I have a blog and it seems I've peeked at getting fans. What do I do to increase my traffic?"

One of the panelists suggested that I make my emails more "personal and relatable".

"Try to write about things that you think your customers would be interested in."

The group I was sitting with started to laugh. Afterwards 2 different people came up to me & said "I don't know how much more personal you can make your emails." One offered to forward a couple of my emails to that panelist.

I mean come on. I shared my "get drunk on Christmas & make phone calls" story with you guys. How much more personal do you want??

Anyway this brings me to Facebook, Twitter, etc.

To start thinking about Burning Man & the costumes you are wanting for this year. It's not too early.

I was sewing up until the night before I left. I think I still owe Barry a pair of pants or two.

I've got tons of fun furs, fabrics and would love to work with you on your ideas.

Now's the time when I'm slow. (Well, kind of slow.)

Steve has a great idea about "Push Pull or Drag" your old tie-dye in. Look for tie-dye trade-in days in February.
